    Raahi - Truckers Eye Health Program

    Raahi Truckers Eye Health program is a flagship program by Chola for Commercial Vehicle Crew Members (CVCMs). Our goal is to safeguard the vision of truck drivers and their crew members by providing free eye exams and spectacles.
    Area of Implementation: Paradeep, Kolkata, Ludhiyana, Kanpur, Indore, Ahmendabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Raipur, Vijaywada, Delhi, Salem, Aurangabad, Guwahati, Prayagraj, Kochi (Kerala), Bhilai, Durg and Korba area of Chhattisgarh.

    Little hearts ‐ Heart surgeries of children with congenital heart disorders

    The project provides free-of-cost treatment to children of Commercial Vehicle Crew Members (CVCMs) suffering from Congenital Heart Disease. It has provided new life to these children and uplifts the families socially, emotionally and financially by giving totally free of cost treatment for congenital heart disease.

    Strengthening the Maternal Health

    Maternal Deliveries and New Born care by providing free-of-cost services to women from Commercial Vehicle Crew Members (CVCMs). Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Mother & Child Hospital (Mamatva) in a program of 9 months where pregnant mothers get access to safe institutional deliveries and essential medical services. This will reduce the neonatal and newborn mortality rate, reduce the maternal mortality and morbidity rate.

    Cancer treatment for chidren

    Sadhanapada

    CHOLA – Arogyasarthy

    Truck drivers suffer from many lifestyle-related health problems like diabetes, blood pressure, anemia and other gastric related ailments. The project aims at providing free primary health care services to truck drivers for their overall health & well-being. The mobile medical van also have provisions for giving physiotherapy treatment to the drivers for their bodily pain issues like backaches, joint, muscle and neck pains.

    Hospital Clowning & Creative Therapy Workshops

    Creative Therapy Workshops for children undergoing chemotherapy for cancer and terminally ill children in Children’s Government Hospital, Egmore. It imparts laughter Therapy which helps long-term patients, caregivers, hospital staff, Nurses and Doctors with mental well-being and reduces pain medication.

    SAMHITA- Integrated Rehabilitation Center for Children with Developmental Delays

    A patient-centred rehabilitation centre for the delivery of multispecialty primary care for children with development delays from middle and low socio-economic backgrounds. The developmental delays include a general and systemic examination, including plotting growth centiles, hearing and vision assessment, baseline blood tests if deemed necessary, referral to a developmental paediatrician, and counselling the parents.

    Promoting quality health care and education to marginalized section.

    The initiative cares for the elderly and sick through Hospitals, nursing homes, maternity homes, and other public healthcare facilities. Additionally, it gave grants, presents, or other forms of support to the needy, destitute, orphans, widows, and underprivileged children who needed help paying for their education.

    Health care services for rural communities and hydrogiological study to map water bodies in and around Oonaiyur

    The purpose of the health services for rural community is to offer healthcare to the poor and underprivileged groups of society in the Cuddalore district. People from 36 villages can now receive better diagnosis and treatment at the AMM hospital in Pallathur, thanks to renovations and expansion that added more up-to-date diagnostic facilities.

    Swachha Odisha Gram Vikas

    Odisha is one of the poorest states in the country. Due to low per capita income, the living conditions of a large proportion of the people of the state are poor. Ensuring access to water to every household in the village. Building of overhead water tanks for the storage and supply of water to each toilet.

    Mini-Library for Anganwadis

    The project aims to ensure the inclusion of children with disabilities (CWDs) in their nearest anganwadis and provide quality pre-school education to all children. Chola provided 'mini-library' resource kits comprising a set of 20 multi-sensory educational and play items and a cabinet, to 50 Anganwadi centres that completed the six month teacher training.

    Financial Literacy and Health Awareness among commercial vehicle crew members (CVCM) and their family members (especially women).     • High altitude program in Spiti - A village-level livestock security program that allows villagers to seek compensation for livestock killed by snow leopards and wolves.
    • Oceans and coasts program - To explore how individual fishers and fishing communities make harvesting decisions, using socioeconomic, behavioral and resource management theory approaches. To compare a fully-fledged, well-established fishery along the coast with a nascent fishery in an oceanic atoll system to contrast how differences in local and regional drivers can influence the trajectories marine tropical fisheries take towards sustainability or overharvest.
